His oil firm deployed a great deal of capital looking for oil in Petronia and had a contract with the government for production. A roadblock appeared in last year’s election. The new president was elected, in part, beacuse of her promise of a of a better deal for the people. She wants to make sure this newfound wealth provides the best benefits to the country.
Mr. Lille fears she will reopen negotiations hurting revenue for his company and possibly revenues for the country. The new president invited foreign “experts” to advise her.
